One of the latest singing sensations in America right now is 20-year-old Taylor Swift.
She has built up a big fan base due to her familiar tunes and highly private words, and received tons of limelight after rapper Kanye West infamously interrupted her in an awards approval speech.
Once that occurred, I got involved in Swift’s songs, purchased a pair of her CDs and one or two country music DVDs on which she appeared, and now I am hooked! Trust me, I didn’t think I’d be purchasing country music DVDs and CDs, as I have never actually been keen on that class. But Swift’s tunes are far more of a pop / country mix and are really extraordinarily familiar.
No wonder she has many thousands of supposed “crossover” fans! Her songs have a certain quality that appeal to all types of folk, and have assisted her changed into one of the best selling artists of the year. Anyhow, after liking what I heard from Taylor Swift, I chose to try other artists in the genre. I found two internet sites that offer discount country music DVDs and CDs, and went on a little bit of a shopping frenzy. I acquired stuff from the likes of Toby Keith, Darius Rucker, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and Lad Flatts — and loved almost everything! I have practically worn out all of my country music DVDs already and am going to be forced to get a bunch more pretty shortly. It’s peculiar how an event like Kanye West’s escapades at that awards show can bring an artist like Taylor Swift to the eye of people who may not have heard all about her before and result in her becoming one of the top performers in the world. Thanks to Kanye’s lousy judgement and the right mixture of country music DVDs and CDs, the brand now has 1 new fan!
